Christian Usera was raised in a Puerto Rican household in the Washington, DC Metro Area. He attended the prestigious New York University where he studied under the famous Bajan poet Kamau Brathwaite. Christian graduated with a degree in English Literature and minored in Fine Arts. Upon graduation he became active in his local community and worked with a number of galleries.  Christian is the author of the graphic novel “The Ones,” which was the topic of a scholarly journal, “Voces Del Caribe,” sponsored by City University of New York (CUNY).  Christian’s artwork has been displayed in galleries across the country, including in Toledo, Ohio, Denver, Colorado, and, New York City. He currently resides in Southeast Michigan
